Arcads review 2026: why it rates 2.7 on Trustpilot, and who should still buy it.

The short answer: Arcads is a capable AI actor tool with a big library and many models in one place, and a risky buy if you need every take to be usable or a predictable bill. As of September 2026 it rates 2.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 177 reviews, split 43 percent five-star and 46 percent one-star. The praise is about workflow and speed. The complaints are about output that does not match the demos, credits spent on unusable takes, and billing. Below: the ratings, what each side says, the credit and refund rules from Arcads’ own help center, the real cost per shipped ad, and who it suits.

Bias disclosure: we run Pinprick, an AI UGC agency, and we compete with Arcads for the same budgets. This review is built from Arcads’ homepage and help center, public reviews on Trustpilot and Product Hunt, and third-party price reports, listed under Sources below. It is a synthesis of what users and Arcads’ own documentation say, not a lab test. Verify anything that matters before you buy.

How is Arcads rated across review sites?

Only one platform has enough reviews to read, and it is split down the middle:

PlatformRatingReviewsWhat stands out
Trustpilot2.7 / 517743% five-star, 46% one-star; profile unclaimed
Product Hunt4.7 / 53Too few reviews to mean much
G2Not ratedNoneNo G2 listing, per shhots.ai (August 2026)

As of 28 September 2026. Trustpilot and Product Hunt read directly; G2 status as reported by shhots.ai.

With almost nothing in the middle (2 percent three-star, 5 percent two-star), the shape suggests two different experiences rather than one mediocre one. Some teams get the workflow to produce ads they can run; others spend their credits and do not. 139 of the 177 reviews were posted in the last 12 months, so this is a current picture, not an old one. The Trustpilot profile is unclaimed, so there are no replies from Arcads on it.

For comparison, Creatify rates 3.8 on Trustpilot with 77 percent five-star and 17 percent one-star.

What do users praise?

In the five-star reviews from July to September 2026, three things recur. The workflow: one reviewer says it lets them test new products. Support: some describe fast, helpful replies, the opposite of what the one-star reviews say. And realism, with a condition attached: good ads come out “with the right prompts”. On the product side, the homepage lists 1,000+ AI actors, custom avatars that can hold your product, translation into more than 30 languages, and a menu of third-party models (Sora 2 Pro, Kling, Seedance, Nano Banana, GPT Image) under one login.

What are the one-star reviews about?

  • Output that does not match the demos. Reviewers describe unusable output, with characters, backgrounds and clothing that change from shot to shot.
  • Credits gone on unusable takes. One August 2026 reviewer says close to half a month’s credits went on output they could not use. Arcads’ refund policy is explicit that poor output quality alone does not qualify for credits back.
  • Charges after cancelling. A reviewer reports a charge after cancelling and weeks without a reply. Arcads’ help center now covers this case: with a cancellation confirmation email you get every charge since cancelling back; without one, only the most recent charge.
  • Support. Unanswered refund emails come up alongside the billing complaints.

How do Arcads credits actually work?

Arcads does not show prices or credit rates on its site (arcads.ai/pricing returns a 404), but its help center does:

Talking actor video800 credits per minute, per actor. Length always rounds up, so a 15-second ad costs the same as a 60-second one.
Two actors in one videoCredits count per actor, so double.
Other video modelsPriced per clip, varying with settings: Veo 3.1 is 800 credits, Sora 2 runs 240 to 1,200, Kling 3.0 runs 176 to 560.
Hook repurposer800 credits per use.
ImagesNano Banana Pro and Seedream: 100 free images per day.
Starter and Creator8,000 and 16,000 credits a month. No rollover, and the account is blocked at the limit until renewal or an upgrade.
Pro and aboveUnused credits roll over; usage past the limit is billed per extra credit.

From Arcads’ help center, read 28 September 2026.

The rounding rule matters most for ads. A 15 or 30-second take is billed as a full minute, the same as a 60-second one. The block at the monthly limit on Starter and Creator means that if a batch goes badly, you wait for renewal or upgrade.

Is there a free trial, and can you get a refund?

There is a trial now, which at least two reviews still ranking for this search say there is not. The homepage says a free trial is available, and the refund policy describes it: 3 days, after which your saved card is charged for the Starter plan unless you cancel from Billing settings within 72 hours.

Refunds are narrow. Per the help center, you get a full refund only if you used zero generation credits in the billing period and ask within 30 days, or a one-time refund within 24 hours of your first charge if you used no credits. Failed generations caused by a platform error can get credits back, not cash. The 30-day window is described as firm. The practical advice from Arcads’ own help article: save your cancellation confirmation email.

What does a shipped Arcads ad really cost?

Arcads does not publish plan prices. Third-party reports from June to August 2026 put Starter at $110 a month and Creator at $220, with Pro reported as $550 or custom. The help center gives Starter 8,000 credits, so a credit is about 1.4 cents and a talking actor take of up to a minute (800 credits) is about $11. That matches the $11 per video the third-party reports quote.

Nobody ships the first take. If a finished ad takes two takes to get one you like plus two hook variants of it, that is four generations, 3,200 credits, about $44 on Starter. Starter then covers two finished ads a month with credits left over for images and tools, and Creator covers five. Change the assumptions to your own hit rate; the full pricing picture is in Arcads pricing, explained. Your hours to script, judge, edit and handle AI disclosure sit on top.

Who should buy Arcads?

Good fit: a performance team with spare hours that wants many actors and models under one login, writes its own scripts, and tests hooks at volume. The larger plans are friendlier: credits roll over and you are not blocked at the limit. Use the trial, and cancel from Billing within 72 hours if it is not for you.

Poor fit: teams without time to regenerate and judge takes, videos where characters, clothing or backgrounds have to stay consistent shot to shot, anyone who needs a predictable cost per usable ad, and anyone who expects a refund if the output disappoints. The refund policy rules that out.

What if you want finished ads instead?

Use an agency. Pinprick is an AI UGC agency: for eligible ad-production engagements it is $0 per ad, a % of ad spend, with concept, script, production, edit, delivery and paid usage rights included. The rate, covered spend and deliverables are confirmed before work starts. Media budget, media management, and wider growth services are separate unless expressly included in your scope. The trade is hands-on control of every take, and it only makes sense if you are already spending on ads. Details at /pricing, and the side by side at Pinprick vs Arcads.

Questions

Is Arcads AI any good?+

As a tool, yes, for the right buyer. It has a library of 1,000+ AI actors (per its homepage), a long list of video and image models in one place, translation into 30+ languages and a workflow canvas. The problem is consistency and terms: as of September 2026 it rates 2.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 177 reviews, split almost evenly between five-star (43%) and one-star (46%), with the one-star reviews focused on output that does not match the demos and on billing and support.

Why is Arcads rated so low on Trustpilot?+

Because nearly half the reviews are one-star. The recurring complaints are output that does not look like Arcads' own ads (lip sync, characters and clothing changing between shots), credits spent on videos that could not run, charges after cancelling, and refund requests that went unanswered. The five-star half praises the workflow, the time saved and, in several reviews, fast support. The profile is unclaimed, so there are no company replies on it.

Does Arcads have a free trial?+

Yes, as of September 2026, though at least two reviews still ranking for this search say it does not. The homepage says a free trial is available, and Arcads' refund policy describes a 3-day trial that automatically charges your card for the Starter plan if you do not cancel from Billing settings within 72 hours. Separately, the homepage runs a limited 7-day unlimited offer for its Seedance 2.5 model, with fair use terms.

Can you get a refund from Arcads?+

Only in narrow cases. Per Arcads' help center: a full refund if you used zero generation credits in the billing period and ask within 30 days; a one-time 24-hour change-of-mind refund if no credits were used; and credits (not cash) back for generations that failed because of a platform error. Poor output quality alone does not qualify. If you are charged after cancelling, you need the cancellation confirmation email to get more than the most recent charge back.

How much does Arcads really cost per ad?+

Arcads does not publish prices. Third-party reports put Starter at $110 a month, and Arcads' help center says Starter carries 8,000 credits, so a credit is about 1.4 cents. A talking actor video is 800 credits per minute, rounded up, so every take up to a minute is about $11. If a finished ad takes two takes plus two hook variants, that is four generations, about $44, and Starter covers two such ads a month. Your own time to script, judge and edit is extra.

What is the alternative if I want finished ads instead of a tool?+

An AI UGC agency. Pinprick is one: for eligible ad-production engagements it is $0 per ad, a percentage of ad spend, with concept, script, production, edit, delivery and paid usage rights included. The rate, covered spend and deliverables are confirmed before work starts. Media budget, media management, and wider growth services are separate unless expressly included in your scope.
