Creatify review 2026: why it scores 4.8 on G2 and 3.8 on Trustpilot.
The short answer: Creatify is a good, cheap way to turn a product page into avatar video ads fast, and a poor fit if you need predictable bills or every take to be usable. As of September 2026 it rates 4.8 out of 5 on G2 (about 1,700 reviews), 4.3 on Product Hunt (52) and 3.8 on Trustpilot (834). Users agree on the praise: easy, fast, good avatars. The split is in the complaints, which are mostly about credits, billing and cancellation rather than the editor. Below: the ratings side by side, what each group of reviewers is actually saying, the real cost per shipped ad, and who should buy it.
Bias disclosure: we run Pinprick, an AI UGC agency, and we compete with Creatify for the same budgets. This review is built from Creatify’s public pricing page and help center and from public reviews on G2, Product Hunt and Trustpilot, each cited in the page source with the date read. It is a synthesis of what users report, not a lab test. Verify anything that matters before you buy.
How is Creatify rated across review sites?
Three platforms, three different numbers. Read together they say more than any one of them:
| Platform | Rating | Reviews | What stands out |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.8 / 5 | About 1,700 | Ease of use far outpaces output quality in mentions (per fast.io, citing G2) |
| Product Hunt | 4.3 / 5 | 52 | Speed and ease; billing confusion, credit expiry, no refunds |
| Trustpilot | 3.8 / 5 | 834 | 77% five-star, 17% one-star; billing, cancellation, output quality |
On Trustpilot 77 percent of reviews are five stars. What drags the average to 3.8 is the other end: 17 percent one-star, with almost nothing in between. That shape usually means most people are happy and a meaningful minority hit a specific problem. Trustpilot also shows Creatify has not replied to negative reviews, which matters if you are weighing how a billing dispute would go.
One more data point, from a June 2026 review on fast.io that cites G2: 647 unprompted mentions of ease of use against 315 about output quality. People review Creatify for how easy it is far more often than for how good the ads look.
What do users praise?
The same themes come up on Trustpilot and Product Hunt, and fast.io’s read of G2 points the same way on ease of use. It is easy for people who do not edit video. It is fast: paste a product URL and get a script, visuals, an avatar and a voiceover back in minutes. The avatar and voice library is large, 300 actors on Starter and 1,500 plus three custom avatars on Pro. And it saves time compared with editing by hand, a line that recurs in five-star reviews on both Trustpilot and Product Hunt.
What are the one-star reviews about?
- Billing and cancellation. A recurring theme in Trustpilot one-star reviews: charges after cancelling and a hard time cancelling at all. Product Hunt reviewers raise billing confusion too. The refund policy in Creatify’s help center is titled No Refund Policy.
- Credits spent, nothing usable. Reviewers describe credits gone on videos they could not run. The help center explains part of this: the Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone tools use a variable number of credits that Creatify says cannot be determined up front.
- Credit expiry. Credits are valid for two months, so unused credits carry into the next month but not beyond, and any balance is lost if you cancel.
- Output quality. Some reviewers call results cheap looking or report footage that does not match the audio. Product Hunt reviewers ask for more control over individual scenes without regenerating the whole video.
- Support. Slow or unhelpful replies come up alongside the billing complaints.
Is Creatify worth it, category by category?
| Ease of use | Strong. The most consistent praise on every platform. |
| Speed to a first draft | Strong, by users' accounts: product URL to a draft ad in minutes. |
| Output quality | Reviewers report inconsistent output; budget for more than one generation per usable ad. |
| Scripts | Usable starting point; fast.io's 2026 review calls them formulaic, so plan to edit. |
| Pricing clarity | Weak. The pricing page does not say what a credit buys; the help center does. |
| Billing and support | Among the most visible themes in Trustpilot one-star reviews. |
| Rights | Clear. Creatify says you own your creatives after the plan ends. |
What does a shipped Creatify ad really cost?
As of September 2026 the plans are Free (10 credits, watermarked, about 2 video ads), Starter at $39 a month for 100 credits, Pro at $99 for 300 credits with higher tiers up to 5,000 credits at higher prices, and a custom Enterprise tier. Annual billing is advertised at up to 50 percent off. The help center rate is 5 credits per 15 seconds of video, rounded up, so a 30-second generation is 10 credits: $3.90 on Starter, $3.30 on Pro.
Nobody ships the first generation. Two generations to get a take, one revision, and two hook variants of the winner comes to about 46 credits on Starter, roughly $18, and closer to 40 on Pro, where revisions are free if the script, avatar and voice stay the same. That puts Starter at about two shipped ads a month and Pro at seven or eight. The full working is in Creatify pricing, explained. Your own hours to script, judge and edit sit on top, and for most teams they are the bigger number.
Who should buy Creatify?
Good fit: a small team or solo marketer with spare hours, a clear product page to start from, and a need to find out cheaply whether avatar ads work for the account at all. At $3 to $4 a generation it is one of the cheapest serious ways to run that test. Stick to the fixed-rate tools (video ad, avatar video, AI shorts) and avoid Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone if you want a predictable bill.
Poor fit: teams whose hours already belong in the ad account, brands whose product has to look exactly right on screen, and anyone who needs every ad to pass a brand and claims review before it runs. Creatify says you own what you make, which is good; the scripting, judging, editing and AI disclosure work is still yours.
What if you want finished ads instead?
Two managed routes. Creatify sells its own done-for-you service, Creatify Studio, inside the Enterprise tier; no price is published, so it is a sales call. Or use an agency. Pinprick is an AI UGC agency: for eligible ad-production engagements it is $0 per ad, a % of ad spend, with concept, script, production, edit, delivery and paid usage rights included. The rate, covered spend and deliverables are confirmed before work starts. Media budget, media management, and wider growth services are separate unless expressly included in your scope. The trade is hands-on control of every take, and it only makes sense if you are already spending on ads. Details at /pricing, and the side by side at Pinprick vs Creatify.
Questions
Is Creatify any good?+
For fast, cheap avatar and product ads, yes. As of September 2026 it holds 4.8 out of 5 on G2 across about 1,700 reviews and 4.3 on Product Hunt, with ease of use and speed as the most common praise. The caveats are inconsistent output, so budget for more than one generation per usable ad, and credit and billing terms, which are among the most visible themes in its one-star reviews on Trustpilot, where it scores 3.8.
Why is Creatify rated lower on Trustpilot than on G2?+
Trustpilot's 834 reviews are 77 percent five-star, but 17 percent are one-star, with almost nothing in between. The most visible themes in those one-star reviews are billing after cancellation, credits used without a usable video, and slow support, rather than the editor itself. As of September 2026 Trustpilot shows Creatify has not replied to negative reviews.
Is Creatify legit?+
Yes. It is a real product with a large review footprint on G2, Product Hunt and Trustpilot, published plans, and a help center that documents credit rates. The legitimate complaints are about terms: credits expire after two months, some tools consume a variable number of credits that Creatify says cannot be determined up front, and the refund policy document is titled No Refund Policy.
How much does Creatify really cost per ad?+
A 30-second generation is 10 credits, which is $3.90 on Starter ($39 for 100 credits) and $3.30 on Pro ($99 for 300). A shipped ad usually takes more than one generation plus a revision and hook variants, so plan on about 46 credits per finished ad on Starter (roughly $18) and about 40 on Pro (roughly $13), where unchanged revisions are free. Your own time to script, judge and edit is extra.
Who should not use Creatify?+
Teams without spare hours to generate, judge and edit, brands whose product has to look exactly right on screen, and anyone who needs a predictable monthly bill while using the agent tools. For those, a managed option such as Creatify's own Studio service on Enterprise or an outside agency is usually the better fit.
What is the alternative if I want finished ads instead of a tool?+
An AI UGC agency. Pinprick is one: for eligible ad-production engagements it is $0 per ad, a percentage of ad spend, with concept, script, production, edit, delivery and paid usage rights included. The rate, covered spend and deliverables are confirmed before work starts. Media budget, media management, and wider growth services are separate unless expressly included in your scope.
